It gives possibilities to interact with people who already deal / dealt with a similar problem and are keen to share their knowledge, globally. This doesn't happen by carefully planning the process in advance. I still believe that focus can be learned (maybe not taught)- the focus needed to boost the motivation for the patience and effort of filtering the networks you'll need.
